Not Saving changes made on the Admin side, then asking me to log in again
Not an idea, but rather a frustrating complaint. I am working on the administrative side of the site changing catalog descriptions for my website store. Repeatedly my numerous changes have not been saved and I have been the redirected to log back in. I have not went over in time. Real pain in the butt!

Allow the customer to select the date they want a product to be delivered, for gift cards or any product.
My company sells fresh baked products that are mostly purchased by customers as gifts for others. They need to be able to purchase the product when it is convenient, but select the date it should be shipped. So, a calendar is needed for them to select the date it is to be shipped, then based on the shipping method (e.g. 2 day UPS ground), they will know when it arrives - and it would be nice to show that also.
This was asked for gift cards, but needs to be available for any/all products if turned on.

Variant GROUPS..
Be able to create variant groupings. Many times I need the same variant options on MANY PRODUCTS... yet time is so wasted continually re-entering the info again and yet again. Instead, be able to choose your (for example) COLOR variant group of warm, neutral or cool, etc. instead of entering COLOR: red, COLOR: orange, COLOR: yellow, etc.

Support Demo/Test/Sandbox Accounts for Payment Gateways
Many payment gateways provide demo/test accounts using a sandbox server: PayPal, USA ePay, and First Data, to name a few. I will use First Data as an example since I'm very familiar with it.

Add Dwolla Payments: 25 cents per charge!
Dwolla is a new, Paypal alternative that is getting great traction (they're moving upwards of $40 Million per month). It draws funds directly from the customers bank account and only charges business owners 25 cents per charge. That's it. There are no hidden fees or monthly payments and any charge under $10 is free.
It has some cool features like social payments and physical store use, which customers can take advantage of if they create an account (through your store's checkout process). However, a guest check out option is available to the customer as well.

send e-mail alerts when blog comment needs moderation
When the blog moderation option is turned on and a comment is entered (pending approval), send an e-mail alert to the administrators.

Canonical Tags: Add Link Type Option (Relative OR Absolute) Setting
In store version 2013.2.312.6 the canonical tag being added by AmeriCommerce is made of relative links instead of the preferred absolute linking method.

Let us edit our own DNS records to set up domain-based email
To use a custom domain name with an AmeriCommerce site, we must point the domain to the AmeriCommerce name servers. That means AmeriCommerce hosts all the DNS records for the domain.
To set up a domain-based email service like Microsoft Outook.com or Google Apps, someone needs to create MX and TXT records for the domain. I would rather do this myself, but AmeriCommerce does not make that possible. DNS record changes have to be done by creating a support ticket, and that can take multiple iterations over the course of several days. I could do it myself in minutes if…

Change the way multiple discounts are calculated
Currently, if there is more than one percentage discount that applies to an item, each discount is taken off the base price. Example:
The way I want it to work:
$19.95 base price
-10% ($2.00)
= $17.95
-75% ($13.46)
= $4.49 totalThe way it actually works:
$19.95
-10% ($2.00)
= $17.95
-75% (which is taken off the 19.95, so $14.96)

Please make an arrow on product pages so customers can navigate from one product to the next without having to go back to the Products Page
When our customers are looking through our catalog we want an easy way for them to get from one product to the next without having to go back to the products page. We used a free program for our website prior to Americommerce that had this feature and we just assumed it was always available. PLEASE add this option :0)

Atrributes filter sub-categories in addition to products
Change attribute filtering so that it filters out irrelevant sub-categories, as well as irrelevant products. The current behavior only filters out products that don't have the attribute selected, but leaves sub-categories that don't have any products with that attribute.

Allow single item changes when in design mode
When you go into the design mode of the admin console it is easy to change some things that you click on, but sometimes when you click on a picture, link, text, etc. it will select all the similar things on that page and edit them, it will also edit similar things on any page of your website. I want to be able to select ONLY what i want to change and for the change to be made ONLY to that exact thing I have selected. An example is on my category pages a few of the images are different…

Allow splitting into more than one column in dropdown menus
It is hard to manage dropdown menus in americommerce. You can only edit the CSS for the entire dropdown menu and not specif parts of the dropdown menus. For example I want to be able to change the color of some dropdowns, I also want to make dropdown menus that have over a certain amount of links on them to split into more than one column. Let say i have a manufacturer's dropdown list that includes 50 manufacturers, i dont want to have to scroll down the page to view all of them, i want to split the list into…

Remember the number of products to display per page.
On a category page, when you change the number of products displayed to a value > 10, then navigate to another page on the site and return to the category page, the number of products displayed reverts to 10. I would prefer that once this value has been set, that it be retained for the entire session.

Have a READY-MADE customer review reminder email...
Instead of torturing those of us who are html impaired, how about a nice simple checkbox for sending out, or not, an email for each customer X number of days after the order is sent, kindly asking for a review? Have a friendly email asking for a review of each product in the order, a picture of it, and a direct link for each review. I had this at V@@@N and I had hundreds of reviews per month. Here, well, not so much. And I even offer rewards points per review!

Integrate with STAMPS.COM!
Need to integrate with stamps.com. Their new Professional Shipper program allows you to have 0 monthly fees, and all you do is add the invoice number when you are doing the shipment, and voila! It links all the shipping information to the customer's account. No more hand entering or having people say they didn't get the email from stamps.com with the tracking. It looks supremely simple. "everyone else" has the integration!

Stripe Payment Gateway: No Merchant Account Needed
Stripe is a new payment gateway. It handles all of the hassle of processing CC payments and doesn't require users to obtain a merchant account. The fee per charge is the standard 2.9% + 30 cents but it does not charge a monthly fee. It simply processes the charge and deposits the funds into your designated bank account. Many new shopping carts have integrated this gateway and i'd like to see it added to AmeriCommerce.
